Instructions

Add 1 cup boiling water to to 1 cup raisins and cover

(Optional) If taking the 'Spiced Raisin Syrup' route, add the Cinnamon, Cloves, Star Anise, Grated Nutmeg, and Ground Ginger to the raisins and water

Allow to soak for 2 to 3 hours

Put both raisins and liquid in a food processor or blender and process until smooth

Use to replace sugar or brown sugar 1-1 in recipes or as a topper for toast, pancakes, or waffles
